How does the free trial work?
You get full access to all features for 14 days, no credit card required. At the end of the trial, pick a plan to continue.
How does the Wave integration work? Do I need Wave Pro?
Swell connects to Wave via the Wave API (no Zapier). Wave requires an active Wave Pro plan (or Wave Advisors) for API-connected integrations. Once connected, Swell can create and send Wave invoices automatically, and keeps invoice status available inside Swell.
Which calendars do you sync with?
We sync with Google Calendar. Once you connect it, Swell checks availability to prevent conflicts and keeps appointments synced to Google Calendar.
Can customers reschedule or cancel themselves?
Yes. Customers get a private link in their email to manage their appointment. You control whether rescheduling is allowed and how far in advance cancellations are allowed.
Do you support recurring appointments?
Yes. You can set up weekly, biweekly, or monthly recurring appointments. Individual occurrences can be skipped or paused as needed.
What email notifications do customers receive?
Customers receive booking confirmations, reminders, and updates if anything changes (reschedules/cancellations). Reminder timing is configurable.
Can I require approval before a booking is confirmed?
Yes. You can set any appointment type to require staff approval. You'll get an email when a new booking comes in, and the customer is notified once you approve.
Can I take deposits or require payment at booking?
Yes. For paid services you can charge in full, take a deposit, or let customers pay later. For online payments at booking, connect Stripe so Swell can collect deposits or full payment automatically.
Can I add custom intake forms?
Yes. You can create intake forms with custom questions and attach them to any appointment type. Responses are collected during booking and saved with the appointment.
Do my customers need an account?
No. Customers book through your public booking page without creating an account. They receive confirmation and reminder emails automatically.
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes. There are no long-term contracts. If you need to cancel, email hello@swellscheduling.com and we'll take care of it.
